2010 Kriton Hatzios Symposium

Each year our Vice-Chair organizes a symposium on a topic of interest. This year, Dr. Paxton Payton has organized a series of talks to address the role of small RNAs in the regulation of gene expression. We are fortunate to have three outstanding researchers in this field to present talks at our meeting.

"Gene Regulation by Small RNAs and the Technological Application in Plants"
Dr. Guiliang Tang from the University of Kentucky

"Exploring the small RNA world using plant model systems"
Dr. Zhixin Xie from Texas Tech

"Functional Diversity for Small RNA Pathways Regulating Maize Shoot Development"
Dr. Stephen Moose from the University of Illinois
